Michigan Woman Azuradee France Receives 35-60 Year Sentence for Murdering Son and Hiding Body in Freezer
A 33-year-old mother of six from Michigan will be sentenced to several decades in prison for torturing and killing her blind 3-year-old son and then storing his corpse in a basement freezer. Azuradee France was sentenced to 35 to 60 years in a state correctional facility on Monday by Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Tracy E. Green for the 2022 murder of juvenile Chayse Allen.
France entered a guilty plea to one count of second-degree murder in connection with her son’s tragic demise earlier this month. Additionally, Greene acknowledged that she had already served 767 days.
France refrained from participating in Monday’s hearing, according to Detroit Fox affiliate WJBK. According to reports, she maintained her hands over her face and sat silently in the courtroom as Green read her sentence.
France was initially apprehended in June 2022 and charged with some offenses, such as felony murder, child abuse, torture, and concealing the death of an individual. Prosecutors dismissed the remaining allegations in exchange for her guilty plea to the murder of her son.

Officers from the Detroit Police Department responded to a request for a welfare check on a young infant at a residence in the 12760 block of Monte Vista at approximately 12:45 p.m. on June 24, 2022, as previously reported.
Police reported that they discovered the “remains of a deceased child” — subsequently identified as Chayse — in a freezer located in the basement of the residence upon their arrival. France was apprehended and conveyed to the Wayne County Jail.
According to Detroit Police Chief James E. White, the contents of France’s residence were “an experience that should not be endured by anyone.”
At the time, the police chief stated, “The other children, just imagine the ordeal they must have endured and the suffering they must have experienced while inside that home.” “Yes, a child was decomposing, and yes, the child was discovered in the freezer.”
According to White, the officers were able to discern that France was “not right” in her communication and that she was repeatedly attempting to reject police and Child Protective Services “as if nothing was going on” during their initial conversation. Nevertheless, he stated that the officers “knew that something was wrong,” which resulted in the search of the residence and the discovery of Chayse’s body.
The heinous nature of the case also astounded Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.
In a statement issued after France’s arrest, Worthy stated, “The alleged facts in this case have astounded even the seriously jaded.” “Our children remain vulnerable to both gun violence and the alleged murderer who resides in the same residence.”
France stated in an interview with the police that she became increasingly irritated with Chayse for his refusal to consume food on a particular evening in late March 2022. Consequently, she struck him with a belt and kicked him at least once in the chest. The toddler was deceased when she visited him the following morning.
France informed a homicide detective, according to the Detroit News, that she had become irritated since the blind child had special requirements and she lacked assistance. Additionally, she asserted that Chayse was supposed to be residing with her father, who had previously housed her children.
According to reports, France informed the police that Chayse was significantly different. “My father was not supposed to return him to me.”
Furthermore, France reportedly stated that she refrained from calling 911 due to her concern that the police would abduct her other children. Instead, she reportedly informed the two children who discovered Chayse’s body that she would “take care of it.” She then placed him in a sack and carried it down to the basement freezer, where she stuffed it.
