Mother Arrested in Mississippi After KILLING ONE SON AND ABANDONING ANOTHER Claims She Was on Drugs (1)

Mother Admits to KILLING CHILD AND ABANDONING ANOTHER ON DRUGS, Captured on Video

A woman was arrested at a train station in Mississippi after allegedly killing one child and leaving another on the side of a Louisiana interstate. She was caught on camera telling a TV reporter that she did these things while high on drugs.

Aaliyah Jack, a mother of two from Lake Charles, Louisiana, and 25 years old, was brought back from Mississippi and put into the Calcasieu Correctional Center in Lake Charles on Saturday. Jack told a reporter from KPLC News that she killed her son and left the child while she was high on drugs as she was being taken to prison.

Jack is facing more serious charges now that her 4-year-old son has died and her 1-year-old son has miraculously lived. The events, which happened from the line between Texas and Louisiana to Mississippi, have shocked the people there, and police are working hard to figure out what happened.

Before, Jack was charged with failing to report a missing child. Now, he is facing one count of second-degree murder, one count of cruelty to a minor, and two counts of failing to report a missing child. The charges came after her 4-year-old son’s body was found in the water behind the Vinton Welcome Center and her 1-year-old son was found moving along Interstate 10 the next morning.

This is how much Jack’s bond is: $9.1 million. She is still being held in Meridian, Mississippi, where she was discovered Monday night waiting for a train. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory talked about how hard his Marine Division worked to find the body of the 4-year-old and then how they were looking for the 1-year-old with hope.

“With heavy hearts, our deputies worked to find the 1-year-old safe,” Guillory said. It was nothing less than a miracle that the baby was found moving in a ditch. Marine Division officers found the body of the 4-year-old boy on the evening of July 8. This was the start of the terrible events.

As the boy’s family tried to find him, they reported Jack and her two children missing. Other police departments were sent a “Be on the Lookout” (BOLO) alert, which led the Meridian Police Department to find Jack without her younger kid.

When police found Jack by himself, they got ready to look for the 1-year-old again at the Vinton Welcome Center. But the child was found by accident along Interstate 10, about eight miles from the city. Guillory was so happy that the boy was still alive that he called him “our miracle baby.”

Stephen Dwight, the district attorney for Calcasieu Parish, talked about how hard the case was on people’s emotions. “This kind of thing makes you feel bad,” Dwight said. “He had to crawl for two days because he didn’t know where he was because of the remnants of Hurricane Beryl.”

It’s a surprise. The authorities are still looking into what happened before and after the terrible events. If you know anything, Sheriff Guillory wants you to call lead detective Willie Fontenot at (491-3605).

He said, “Our detectives still have a lot of work to do, even though we have upgraded Jack’s charges.” “The investigation will go on while we wait for the results of the autopsy.”
