A criminal was arrested Thursday and faces multiple counts after deputies found a massive stash of guns from a North County residence.

Around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies from the Vista Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a home in the 900 block of Sugarbush Terrace in unincorporated Vista to investigate a restraining order violation, according to Sheriff’s officials.

During the inquiry, deputies discovered that Sean Christiansen, 39, a convicted felon, lived in the home. They also uncovered Christiansen’s claimed possession of several guns and ammo. Based on this information, Sheriff’s detectives acquired a search order for the home and discovered more than 35 rifles and handguns.

Deputies also discovered body armor, numerous firearm parts, illegal high-capacity magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, firearms manufacturing equipment, and about five ounces of psilocybin mushrooms.

Christiansen was arrested and put into the Vista Detention Facility on accusations of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm/ammunition/stun gun, possessing an unlawful firearm, possessing an illegal weapon (expandable baton), and possessing a controlled substance with intent to sell.
