NYC Birthday Party Tragedy: Cocaine Dealer Killed in Vicious Robbery Attack!

A man identified as Lenner Zuniga, 35, was tragically killed during a robbery that took place at a birthday party in Queens over the weekend.

The incident occurred just after 3 a.m. on Sunday inside a second-floor apartment on 125th Street near 103rd Avenue in South Richmond Hill. According to police reports, Zuniga was both shot and stabbed multiple times during the violent attack.

Zuniga, who had a criminal history with 49 prior arrests, including gun and drug-related charges, was shot three times and stabbed eight more times.

When the violence broke out, he tried to protect himself by locking himself in the bathroom and calling 911. During the call, his voice could be heard pleading for help, followed by the sound of gunshots. It is suspected that cash and drugs were taken from the scene.

The authorities have described the apartment where the attack happened as a gathering spot for people, a place where young individuals often hang out, play loud music, and use drugs.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny stated that it is considered a “flophouse” or a problematic location known to the neighbors in the area.

On the night of the incident, Zuniga was celebrating a birthday with a group of seven to eight other men.

A fight broke out during the gathering, which led to the deadly attack. After being attacked, Zuniga was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

A person who lives in the apartment building said he had gone to the store, and when he returned, he found Zuniga badly injured while everyone else had disappeared.

The police have identified a strong person of interest in this case, but they have not yet made any arrests. Three 9mm shell casings and two live bullets were found at the crime scene.

A downstairs neighbor, Alexander Wilson, 51, told reporters that the noise of the gunshot awakened him, and then he heard people running out of the building.

Wilson said he looked out the window and saw Zuniga being carried out on a stretcher. He noted that Zuniga didn’t look like he was in good condition.

Wilson also mentioned that he didn’t recognize Zuniga and had never seen him before.

He expressed his shock and sadness over the incident, saying that he had no idea something like that would happen in his building.

Authorities believe the motive behind the attack was related to drugs and robbery. They are continuing to investigate the case and are working to gather more evidence.

The apartment has had issues in the past, with reports of loud music, drug use, and people frequently coming and going.

Police are still piecing together the events that led up to the fatal incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
