Shocking Incident: NJ Man Attacks Officers with Urine After Arrest!

Secaucus, NJ — A Ridgefield Park man with a criminal history, including a past home invasion, is facing multiple charges after allegedly attempting to run over a gas station attendant and assaulting law enforcement officers, according to Secaucus police.

Nelson Castellon, 27, was arrested following a chaotic series of events that began Thursday afternoon at the Exxon gas station on Route 3 West.

Authorities say Castellon, driving a U-Haul van, was attempting to steal gas when he threatened the station attendant.

Castellon reportedly gestured toward his waistband as if he were armed and then attempted to run over the attendant.

Although Castellon fled the scene before police could arrive, officers located him and the van in a nearby parking lot. During the arrest, officers discovered methamphetamine in Castellon’s possession, according to Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller.

While being held at police headquarters, Castellon allegedly assaulted several officers while receiving medical attention.

The situation escalated further when Castellon, taken to a local hospital for additional treatment, reportedly threw urine at two officers who were guarding him, Miller said.

Castellon now faces several charges, including robbery, drug possession, aggravated assault on law enforcement, and throwing bodily fluids at police officers.

He has also been charged with hindering apprehension after allegedly providing false information to the arresting officers.

This incident is not Castellon’s first brush with the law. In 2016, at the age of 19, he was arrested for his role in a home invasion in Garfield.

According to the New Jersey Department of Corrections, he served time for the violent offense until February of this year.
