Investigators managed to get in touch with the victim through a text message. The woman revealed that Patterson had forcibly taken her to Tennessee. She also reported that Patterson had physically harmed her and threatened to destroy her phone and abandon her in a remote area.
Authorities acted promptly by contacting their counterparts in Tennessee. This collaboration led to the swift location and rescue of the victim. Patterson was apprehended by Tennessee law enforcement.
