A 46-year-old woman from Albany was arrested earlier this month after being accused of stealing two dogs from a home. According to the Albany police, Shalon Jones is facing charges of criminal possession of stolen property and hindering prosecution.

Following her arrest, Jones was taken to the Albany County jail. The incident took place on August 4th, when two French bulldogs, including a one-year-old named Anya, were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Myrtle Avenue.

Jones was found in possession of Anya, which led to her arrest. Earlier in the month, police had arrested another woman, 29-year-old Destiny Winslow, who was also involved in the theft. Thanks to these arrests, both dogs were safely recovered and reunited with their rightful owners.
