Shocking Violence in NYC: 29-Year-Old Mother Stabbed Multiple Times in Deli Feud!
A 29-year-old mother lost her life in a shocking incident at a Bronx deli on Thursday afternoon. Gwendolyn Guyton was inside the Jose Mini Market Inc. on Southern Boulevard and East 149th Street when she got into a fight with another woman.
This violent clash took place around 3:15 p.m., right in front of the deli, as customers and workers looked on in disbelief.
Witnesses and police reports reveal that the altercation escalated quickly. The other woman entered the store and started arguing with Guyton.
It wasn’t long before things turned physical. The situation took a tragic turn when the woman pulled out a knife and stabbed Guyton multiple times in the neck and torso.
An employee at the bodega, who identified himself as Alex, was working at the time of the incident. He described the chaos unfolding in front of him.
“I was trying to save the girl and, at the same time, to get her out of the store before she got stabbed,” he said.
Alex and a coworker did their best to intervene, trying to separate the two women during the fistfight. But when he saw the knife, his focus shifted to helping Guyton.
Alex and his colleague held Guyton’s injured body, trying to stop the bleeding while they waited for medical assistance to arrive. Their quick actions highlighted the horror of the moment as they desperately sought to provide aid.
Another witness, Mario Marrero, recounted the grim scene he encountered outside the deli. “She was lying down in front of the store,” he said. “She was just lying down, just full of blood.
It was all over her body.” This vivid description underscores the severity of the situation and the immediate danger that Guyton faced.
Emergency responders rushed Guyton to Lincoln Medical Center, but sadly, despite their efforts, she could not be saved. The loss of life has left the local community in shock, grappling with the senseless nature of the violence that took place in broad daylight.
The police are currently searching for the woman responsible for the stabbing. After the attack, she fled the scene on a white bike and remains at large.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and help with the investigation.
Resident Shelby Miller spoke about Guyton, sharing her memories of the young mother. She noted that Guyton frequently visited the deli for cigarettes and often interacted with the community.
“She didn’t deserve that,” Miller said, expressing the sentiment of many who are mourning her loss. “Whatever she did, nobody deserves to be killed like that.”
This tragic event has raised serious questions about safety in the community and the need for measures to prevent such violence from happening again.
The Bronx has faced its share of challenges, but incidents like this remind residents of the work that still needs to be done to ensure public safety.
