Southern California suspect in an attempted murder escapes from custody
According to an announcement made by police on Sunday, prison officials in Southern California are conducting a search for a 29-year-old convict who escaped from a facility where he was being held for attempted murder in San Bernardino County.
At around 12:20 p.m. on June 16, Deshaun Stamps, a resident of Riverside who has been detained since January 2023, escaped from the West Valley Detention Center during an outdoor recreation session, according to a news release issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. Stamps had been in jail since January 2023.
According to the description, the individual is a Black male adult who is 29 years old, stands at a height of 5 feet 11 inches, and weighs roughly 170 pounds. Currently, Stamps is bald and has tattoos on his neck and head. He has green eyes. Stamps also has tattoos on his skull.
According to the officials, it is not known what kind of attire Stamps would be wearing.
