Tennessee Father Charged with Reckless Homicide After Leaving 8-month-old Baby in Hot Car!

In a deeply tragic incident in Tennessee, a father has been charged after his 8-month-old daughter died from being left in a hot car. The heartbreaking case involves 35-year-old T. Blackdeer, who faces serious charges of reckless homicide and aggravated child abuse or neglect.

On what started as an ordinary day, Blackdeer was handling his usual routine of dropping off his three youngest children at their babysitter’s house before heading to work.

However, he made a devastating error by forgetting his 8-month-old daughter in the back of his car. The temperature that day climbed to 85 degrees, turning the parked vehicle into an extremely dangerous environment for a child.

While Blackdeer went about his workday, he was unaware of the grave situation unfolding. It was only later, after his wife called to check on their youngest daughter, that Blackdeer realized the tragic mistake.

He rushed back to his car, only to find his daughter unresponsive. In his panic, he sought help and encountered Police Chief J. Sapp, who found Blackdeer driving erratically.

Chief Sapp took immediate action, attempting to resurrect the infant along with others until emergency medical professionals arrived. Despite their best efforts, the young girl was pronounced dead at the hospital, with a body temperature of 105.8 degrees.

During the subsequent investigation, Blackdeer explained his morning routine, including his stop at the babysitter’s house. He recalled taking his children inside and chatting with the babysitter before leaving, completely unaware that his daughter remained in the car.

The babysitter had noticed the baby’s absence early on and texted the mother, but miscommunication led to the parents mistakenly believing the infant was safe at home.
