Three Arrested in Rochester After Overnight Gunfire Reports!

Rochester, N.Y. — Rochester police arrested three individuals early Friday morning after gunshots were reported in multiple areas of the city.

Officers responded to several ShotSpotter alerts and calls from residents who reported hearing gunfire.

The first incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Clairmont Street, where officers found evidence of shots being fired. A home in the area was struck, but no injuries were reported.

Shortly after, police received another ShotSpotter alert from Webster Avenue, also around 2:30 a.m. Evidence of gunfire was found at the scene, though no injuries or property damage were reported.

While investigating the incident on Webster Avenue, officers observed a vehicle leaving the area. A traffic stop was conducted on Keller Street, near Goodman Street. During the stop, officers discovered a handgun in the vehicle, leading to the arrest of the three occupants.

A third incident was reported just after 2:30 a.m. in the area of Hudson Avenue and Upper Falls Boulevard. Police again found evidence of shots fired, but no damage or injuries were discovered.

The investigation into the gunfire and the involvement of the arrested individuals is ongoing.
