Tragic Death of 2-Month-Old in DC: Homicide Investigation Launched After Fentanyl Overdose!

A tragic incident has occurred in Northwest Washington, D.C., where a 2-month-old baby has died from a drug overdose. The baby’s death, which happened in May, is now being investigated as a homicide.

On May 27, around 11 a.m., emergency responders were called to an apartment on Newton Street in Northwest D.C. They arrived to find the baby, Amiri Royal Bynum, unconscious. The infant was rushed to a nearby hospital but sadly passed away.

The chief medical examiner for D.C. determined on August 26 that fentanyl intoxication was the cause of Bynum’s death. The ruling classified the death as a homicide.
