Tragic Discovery: Man Dies After Beating Behind Hudson County Building, Prosecutor Reveals!

A man found dead behind a building in Hudson County earlier this month has been confirmed as a murder victim. Investigators have determined that the man, 56-year-old Reynaldo Gonzalez from Union County, was beaten to death. Authorities are still looking for any leads.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at around 11 a.m., Reynaldo Gonzalez was found unresponsive behind a building located on 23rd Street. Police responded quickly to the scene and pronounced him dead shortly after 11:30 a.m.

The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed on Wednesday, Nov. 26, that Gonzalez had died from injuries caused by blunt force trauma.

Due to the nature of the injuries, his death has officially been classified as a homicide.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office has now taken over the investigation with its Homicide Unit leading the efforts to find those responsible for this violent crime.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information to step forward and help with the case.
