Two Arrested After Routine Traffic Stop Leads to Shocking Drug Discovery!
SARATOGA, Wis. — A routine traffic stop in central Wisconsin turned into a major drug bust when deputies uncovered a significant amount of illegal substances.
The incident occurred on Sunday in the town of Saratoga when Wood County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a vehicle for speeding.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, deputies James Pidgeon and Robert Liebe discovered 235.2 grams of marijuana and 11.4 grams of methamphetamine inside the vehicle during the stop. The discovery highlighted the critical role law enforcement plays in keeping illegal drugs off the streets.
Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested and now face serious charges, including possession of THC with intent to deliver and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. These charges are expected to result in significant legal consequences.
The Sheriff’s Office shared a post on social media commending the deputies for their vigilance and hard work. “Great work, guys,” the post read. “Way to take the extra time and effort to get this stuff off our streets.”
While no additional details about the suspects or their court dates were shared, the bust underscores how even a routine traffic stop can lead to important discoveries that protect the community from harm.
