A 22-year-old man from Cohoes who lives in Albany County was charged with rape in Ellenville, Ulster County, on August 26. Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police said that the 15-year-old girl told the police in April that she met Randall on a social media site in March.

She agreed to meet Randall after school after they had talked online for a few weeks. When Randall picked her up, he drove her to a remote area and sexually attacked her there. Nevel said that he then drove her back to school and dropped her off.
