Chick-fil-A Cancels Plans for Brunswick Location in Capital Region!
Chick-fil-A, one of America’s favorite fast-food chains, has been expanding rapidly in the Capital Region this year.
With several new locations opening, fans finally have easier access to the famous chicken sandwiches they love. However, not all expansion plans are going forward as hoped.
In 2024, Chick-fil-A celebrated a significant milestone by opening restaurants in Clifton Park, North Greenbush, and Albany’s Central Avenue.
A new location in Latham is also on the way, creating plenty of excitement for local foodies. After years of only having a single Chick-fil-A in the Albany Airport, this growth has been a game-changer for fans who had to travel just to grab a bite.
But not all news is good news for the chain’s regional plans. Chick-fil-A had announced earlier this year that they were planning to build a new restaurant on Hoosick Road in Brunswick near Mohawk Avenue.
This location was set to be part of a larger retail plaza. However, according to a CBS 6 report, those plans have now been dropped. Instead, the site will host a QuickChek convenience store, leaving Chick-fil-A fans in Brunswick disappointed.
For now, there’s no word on whether Chick-fil-A will look for a new spot in Brunswick or the surrounding areas. The company hasn’t announced any replacement plans for the scrapped location.
Still, with so many new restaurants already up and running, fans in the Capital Region have plenty of options to enjoy their Chick-fil-A favorites.
The recent openings ensure that whether you’re in Albany, Clifton Park, or North Greenbush, you won’t have to go far to satisfy your chicken cravings.
The cancellation of the Brunswick location may be disappointing, but Chick-fil-A’s continued success in the region means there’s still a lot to celebrate for fans of the chain.
Keep an eye out for any updates on future locations—they just might surprise us with something new soon!
