FATAL POLICE SHOOTING ON 405 FREEWAY Off-ramp in North Hills Prompts Investigation and Road Closures
A fatal police shooting happened on Thursday night, prompting investigators to restrict an off-ramp for the 405 Freeway in North Hills.
The gunshot took place close to the Roscoe Boulevard off-ramp of the 405 Freeway, as reported by the Los Angeles Police Department. The incident took place just before 8:20 p.m. An officer from the Beverly Hills Police Department who was not on duty stated that he witnessed a dispute between two individuals that took place close to the exit of the freeway.

Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department told them that one of the men fighting was armed with a pipe, and the other was armed with a revolver. With a weapon in his possession, the off-duty cop was able to kill the suspect. Beside a deceased body, there was what seemed to be a firearm that had been placed in a pool of blood.
Before shutting down a part of Roscoe Boulevard, law enforcement established a cordon around a bicycle and a Jeep that was located nearby. Roscoe Boulevard was the location where the entry and exits to the southbound 405 Freeway were shut down by the California Highway Patrol.
The second individual who was involved in the incident was taken into custody by the police. It was announced by the Beverly Hills Police Department that they will be assisting the Los Angeles Police Department with the investigation.
None of the general population is in any danger.
