Former Teacher Arrested for Sending Explicit Photos to 14-year-old Student: Police Say
Police in New Castle said Friday morning that a former teacher was arrested on Thursday for sending sexually explicit pictures to a former student.
The police were told in July that Alanis Pinion, 24, had sent the pictures to a former student on Snapchat who is 14 years old.
Pinion was charged with assaulting a child under 18 years old, putting a child in danger, and first-degree lewd exposure. Police said she was taken to Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution in New Castle County because she couldn’t pay her $46,000 cash bail.
He taught eighth grade at Wilmington’s Saint Mary Magdalen School. The school said she passed a background check so they could hire her.
