Iowa Middle School Teacher Charged With Sexual Exploitation of Student Over 2014 Messages

A middle school teacher in Anamosa, Iowa, has been charged with sexual exploitation of a juvenile after it was alleged that she sent messages to a student in the year 2014.

An individual named Wayne Lasack, who is now 50 years old, is being accused of sending inappropriate comments on Facebook to a pupil who was 15 years old at the time.

Within the context of a criminal complaint, Lasack is said to have requested that the student email him “naughty” images. Nevertheless, the pupil did not accept.

The inquiry was initially initiated in 2018 when the communications were sent to the Anamosa Community School District anonymously. These messages were then sent to the Anamosa Police Department. In the period in question, the principal of the school had the belief that the charges were “unfounded.”

It was stated in the notes that the principal took about the matter that Lasack denied having any knowledge of the texts. By stating that they were going through a split, he made a veiled reference to the possibility that his ex-wife was the one who sent the texts.

This year, Lasack’s ex-wife stated to the authorities that she was not the one who sent the texts and that their marriage was “essentially normal” while they were married in 2014. Their marriage did not begin to erode until the latter half of 2017, according to her.
