One Dead, One Injured in Ocean View Hills Double Shooting; Authorities Seek Suspects
A double shooting happened on Friday night in the Ocean View Hills neighborhood of South Bay resulting in the death of one guy and the injury of another man who was also 40 years old.
It was approximately 5:30 p.m. when the incident took place on Hidden Trails Road, according to the police. Ocean View Hills is described by residents of the community as a peaceful area; yet, when the shooting occurred, there was a significant number of people who gathered in their automobiles.
An individual stated to ABC 10News that he was out walking his dogs at the time that he witnessed the gunshot take place. He stated that he had seen both of the victims as well as an automobile as it sped away from the scene.
A few hours later, in Mid-City, the police established that they had discovered a suspicious vehicle that may have been connected to the scene.
The shooting took place just a few hours after a different homicide that was unrelated to this one took place in Logan Heights, where law enforcement personnel were investigating a stabbing incident. After being taken to the hospital, a victim ultimately succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
The victims of either of the two murders have not been identified, and the investigators are still working on finding suspect descriptions for both of the crimes. Anyone who may have any information regarding either of these crimes is being asked to get in touch with the authorities.
