Seven Vehicles Collide on Eastbound 10 Freeway in LA; Emergency Crews Respond to Early Morning Accident
SOUTH LOS ANGELES – During the early hours of Saturday morning, the eastbound 10 Freeway in the West Adams neighborhood of Los Angeles was shut down for several hours due to a major collision that involved seven vehicles.
An incident log maintained by the California Highway Patrol indicates that the collision was reported at 3:12 a.m. close to the Crenshaw Boulevard onramp.
The California Highway Patrol stated that the collision between a blue Dodge Challenger and a gray Infiniti was the cause of the pileup. Out of the seven vehicles that were involved in the collision, two of them flipped over.
At this time, it was unknown whether anyone had sustained major injuries. According to the video that was broadcast on the news, firefighters and paramedics were seen removing at least one individual from the site.
Following the removal of vehicles by tow trucks, all lanes were made available to traffic by six in the morning.
The cause of the collision is currently being looked into by authorities.
