TGI Friday’s Closes 12 Restaurants Nationwide, Including Popular New York Locations!
TGI Friday’s has unexpectedly closed at least 12 of its restaurant locations, including one in Middletown, New York. According to the company’s website and various reports, these closures appear to be permanent.
The Middletown location, at 23 Crystal Run Crossing, was one of the affected branches. Two other locations in New York—Poughkeepsie at 2594 South Road (Route 9) and Clifton Park at 1 Southside Drive—have also been shut down.
In Connecticut, the Enfield location in the Freshwater-Stateline Plaza at 130 Elm Street is listed as permanently closed. Pennsylvania’s Allentown branch, located at 395 S Cedar Crest Blvd, has also seen its doors close for good. Another Virginia branch in Leesburg, found at 235 Fort Evans Road NE, has met the same fate.
Many customers expressed surprise at the closures, learning of the changes through signs posted at the restaurants announcing the sudden shutdowns. The abrupt nature of the closures has caught many loyal patrons off guard, especially since these locations were still operating relatively recently.
