Dramatic Arrest: Duo Charged After Armed Robbery in Schenectady!

Two Schoharie County residents, James R. Parker, 26, and Nicole Zielinski, 50, both from Cobleskill, found themselves facing serious charges following a troubling incident in Schenectady. The arrests were made on Wednesday, Nov. 13, after an investigation by the New York State Police.

According to source, the incident unfolded while Parker and Zielinski were being transported by a taxi in Schenectady. Parker allegedly held the taxi driver at knifepoint, forcing the driver to comply against their will. During the ordeal, the suspects reportedly stole money from the driver and inflicted minor injuries.

After identifying the suspects, authorities moved quickly to apprehend them. Around 7 p.m., State Police arrived at their residence in Cobleskill. The situation led to a brief standoff before both individuals were arrested without further complications.

The charges filed against Parker reflect the severity of the incident. He is accused of robbery, kidnapping, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and theft of services. Zielinski, who was also implicated in the crime, faces charges of robbery and theft of services.

Currently, both suspects are being held at the Schenectady County Correctional Facility, awaiting arraignment. The investigation highlights the swift action taken by law enforcement to bring those responsible to justice.
