During a birthday celebration in Florence, four victims were shot and killed. Family and friends recall this

Over a day has passed since four individuals lost their lives in an early shooting at a Florence 21st birthday celebration.

Seven people were shot at a house on Ridgecrest Drive just before three in the morning on Saturday, according to Florence Police Chief Jeff Mallery. Police stated on Saturday that all three of the individuals who were taken to the hospital are in “critical but stable condition.”

Mallery reported that the victims of the shooting were 44-year-old Melissa Parrett, 19-year-old Delaney Eary, 20-year-old Shane Miller, and 20-year-old Hayden Rybicki.

Police were pursued by the suspect, 21-year-old Chase Garvey, until he shot himself, crashing his car. Mallery claimed Garvey passed away in the hospital.

At a press conference, Mallery stated, “Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the victims.”

In Connor Valpreda’s words, Rybicki had “a good soul,” and “the way he carried himself impact so many hearts.” Rybicki was his best buddy.

There was always that infectious smile that never seemed to go away, no matter what he had to go through in this life. “I am honored to have him as my best friend, and he was not just my best friend,” Valpreda remarked. “I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such a strong relationship with him and to have created the incredible memories we have shared. He was genuinely unique, and as long as I’m here, I won’t let anyone forget him.”

Sheryl Beatty, Shane Miller’s aunt, created a GoFundMe page to assist with the cost of Shane Miller’s funeral. “One of the kindest, sweetest, most loving kid(s),” she said on the page.

“He was a kind and sweet person that is loved dearly,” Beatty wrote in a letter.

We also received a statement about her nephew, who the bereaved aunt stated had aspirations of becoming a police officer.

“Any parent would be pleased to claim Shane as their own son. He had a nice word and a smile for everyone. He was a joy to be around; he had a cheerful attitude every day when he woke up. He had a captivating personality that made people want to stay friends with him when they first met. Though he liked his buddies, Sergio, his cousin, was by far his best friend. For him, family was everything “stated Beatty. “Shane had an old soul and was a young, gorgeous, amazing man.” He enjoyed being outside, whether it was kayaking or fishing. Shane purchased two kayaks—one for Sergio and one for himself. He was and will always be a bright light in his family’s life. The depth of his loss and the extent of his absence are beyond words.

In less than 24 hours, more than $15,000 has been raised through the GoFundMe.

Leah Moore, who attended the birthday celebration but departed prior to the shooting, expressed her loss for Parrett, who was throwing her son’s birthday celebration.

“What I’m going to miss most about Missy, especially Missy, is her spirit, her personality,” Moore stated. Many people would claim that those who are close to them are the best persons they have ever encountered. Missy really was that.”

Additionally, a GoFundMe has been established in order to assist Parrett’s kid, who “will bear the brunt of any future expenses of the family.” Additionally shot that evening, Parrett’s daughter is currently in the intensive care unit (ICU) in stable condition, “but still fighting for her life,” according to the campaign.(News Source)
