Shocking News :Two Young Teens Charged in Attack on Ex-Gov. David Paterson!
Two young boys, aged 12 and 13, were arrested on Saturday in connection with an attack on former New York Governor David Paterson and his stepson, Anthony Sliwa.
The incident took place on Manhattan’s Upper East Side around 8:30 p.m. on Friday while Paterson, 70, and his stepson, 20, were out for a walk.
Both sustained minor injuries to their faces and received treatment at a nearby hospital.
In addition to facial injuries, Paterson, who is legally blind, also suffered some injuries to his body during the attack.
The police have charged both boys with gang assault, though they have not disclosed their identities due to their age.
Authorities believe that at least five individuals were involved in the assault and have reached out to the public for more information to help in their investigation.
David Paterson, a well-known political figure and Democrat, served as the Governor of New York from 2008 to 2010.
He assumed office after Gov. Eliot Spitzer resigned amid a scandal. Paterson is the first Black governor in the state’s history.
The events leading up to the attack began earlier that day when Paterson’s stepson, Anthony Sliwa, was out walking the family dog.
Sliwa noticed some individuals attempting to climb the fire escape of a building on Second Avenue. He warned them to stop their actions and said he would call the police if they continued.
Later that evening, while Paterson and Sliwa were taking a walk together, they encountered the same group again.
This encounter led to a verbal altercation, which then escalated into a physical assault on Paterson and his stepson by two members of the group.
During the struggle, Sliwa managed to defend himself against multiple attackers, but he still suffered a facial injury that required stitches.
Despite the assault, Paterson and his stepson are expected to recover fully from their injuries.
The police are actively investigating the incident and seeking any information that could lead to the identification of the other individuals involved in the attack.
The community’s assistance is being sought to ensure that all those responsible are held accountable for their actions.
