It is most likely the missing 8-month-old girl whose decomposed bones were discovered in Kentucky, according to investigators

On Friday, officers from the Kentucky State Police discovered the decomposing body of a baby they think is an 8-month-old girl who had gone missing several weeks earlier.

At an Ohio County home in western Kentucky, state police discovered “an infant’s body consistent with Miya Rudd.”

According to state police, the corpse was “hidden in a concealed manner.”

The body will be brought to Louisville’s Kentucky Medical Examiner’s Office so that an autopsy can be performed.

Over a week has passed since the police started looking for the baby.

According to relatives, Miya hadn’t been seen since late April.

Her parents, 29-year-old Tesla Tucker and 30-year-old Cage Rudd, were discovered by investigators in a motel without the child.

Earlier this month, Tucker and Rudd were detained and accused of abusing children, abandoning them, and committing many narcotics felonies alongside Miya’s paternal grandparents.

The lawyer for Tucker and Rudd did not pick up on a phone on Friday night.

Due to pending warrants, the child’s maternal grandparents were taken into custody on Wednesday.

State police said that another individual who was once residing at the Rudd residence was charged with multiple narcotics charges on Thursday.

After searching a church, a cemetery, and a forested area behind the family’s house with cadaver dogs, police eventually sent in a forensic examiner team and sonar technology.

During the search, state police officers voiced their displeasure with Miya’s family’s lack of cooperation.

Spokesman for the state police, Trooper Corey King, stated that detectives were taken aback by Miya’s family’s lack of cooperation and information—”the ones who should love and care the most.”
